O objetivo deste artigo é explorar a relação teórica entre financiamento e crescimento. O trabalho apresenta uma visão geral da literatura, incluindo tanto artigos clássicos como algumas contribuições mais recentes. Ao final, apresentamos a nossa posição no debate.

The purpose of this article is to explore the theoretical relation between finance and growth. The paper presents an overview of the literature, including not only seminal articles but also some recent contributions. At the end, we present our view on the subject.
