| dc.description.abstract | After most developed economies viewed it with reservations, industrial policy has been subject to reassessment and has spread throughout the world. This study aims to discuss this trajectory, starting from a brief review of the literature on the subject and describing the main industrial policy programs being implemented by several industrialized economies. The need for these policies is mostly justified by the need to face the challenges of a new digital standard and by the climate emergency despite the evident strategic nature of the policies in several cases as they aim to internalize the production chains considered vital to industrial development. | en_US |

| dc.description.resumo | Após um período em que era vista com ressalvas pela maioria das economias desenvolvidas, a política industrial vem sendo objeto de reavaliação e se disseminando por todo o mundo. Este artigo tem o objetivo de discutir tal trajetória, partindo de uma breve revisão da literatura sobre o tema e descrevendo os principais programas de política industrial em execução por economias industrializadas. Em sua maioria, essas políticas se justificam pela necessidade de enfrentar os desafios de um novo padrão digital e da emergência climática, mas, em diversos casos, fica evidente o caráter estratégico na busca por internalizar cadeias produtivas consideradas vitais ao desenvolvimento industrial. | en_US |
